II International Scientific Symposium and Exhibition

II International Scientific Symposium "Theory and practice of application of enhanced oil recovery method" took place at OAO "VNIINeft n.a. A.P.Krylov" on 15-16 September 2009 in Moscow.

The employees of the company I.C. INTERCOMPLECT Ltd. participated in the symposium along with the invited Turkmen colleagues - the representatives of the profile Ministry, manufacturing and research departments of the State Concerns "TurkmenNeft" and "TurkmenGaz".

The plenary meeting was held on 15 September, where 13 reports of the leading specialists from such well-known companies as OAO "VNIINeft", OAO "ZarubezhNeft", "RosNedra", OAO "GazpromNeft", OAO "Lukoil" and many other Russian and foreign companies was heard. Next day the symposium participants continued work at affiliated meetings and reviewed poster presentations.

In the summary of the symposium, all participants noted the main problem of application of enhanced oil recovery method - the insufficient volumes of scientific researches, in particular the special researches of core samples and formation fluids, for obtaining of proved basic data for project development and exploitation of oil and gas fields with maximum output.
