Filling/draining of railroad tank cars

Installations for loading railroad tank cars work on the timed filling principle. An operator switches on automatic positioning of a railroad tank car, positions the filling pipe over the filler and gives a command for loading operations to commence which is executed in the automatic mode: extension of the filling pipe in the filling position, low flow filling, heavy flow filling, precutoff, blowoff.
